The School of Food and Advanced Technology is committed to supporting New Zealand’s export-driven growth, based on high-value products, processes and technologies related to our bioeconomy.
Educational programmes build capability in food, nutrition and engineering, while internationally recognised researchers apply their skills throughout the supply chain and beyond. Massey University staff are intensely engaged with the food industry with over 150 projects reaching completion through the FoodPilot each year.
Our research supports food companies to remain competitive in a global marketplace, while satisfying consumer demand for healthy, safe, tasty food. We have a unique ability to integrate expertise across the entire food and health value chain.
With the largest collection of pilot-scale food processing equipment in the Southern Hemisphere, we offer students theoretical and practical knowledge that is in high demand in the real world. With an internationally accredited qualification, many of our graduates walk directly from study into industry roles, here and overseas.
